My twine wont load once published to file, can anyone help?

I am using twine to create a piece of work for university. I need the game to launch from the HTML file. I have published my Twine to file but when i try to access it from my documents a black screen appears instead of my twine,can anyone help?

If you're referring to the HTML files with the Twine/Stories directory (within your documents directory), then those are your project data files, not the published/compiled files.

Your published files will be wherever you save them (obviously, never publish to your data directory).  If using one of the browser-based releases of Twine 2, check your browser's default downloads directory.
